The money’s yours, we just round it up for you.
When a bank, insurance company, or employer loses track of the owner of an account or a payment, Texas law sends that money to the Texas Comptroller — who holds it until the owner claims it. The State calls it “unclaimed property.” Most of it isn’t property at all — it’s money: forgotten accounts, final paychecks, deposits, and refunds. We research the Comptroller’s records, locate the owners, and help them get their money back.
No upfront fees. No recovery, no fee. We never ask for your Social Security number or bank information.
Most people have no idea anything is owed to them. The money the State is holding comes from everyday places like:
Three plain steps. You stay in control of your claim and your money the whole way — the State pays you directly.
We research the Texas Comptroller’s public records of money the State is holding, match it to its owners, and verify the details before we ever reach out.
One plain-language agreement you review and sign securely right on our website — from your phone or computer, no account needed. It states exactly what the State is holding for you and the exact amounts — before and after our fee — just as Texas law requires.
Texas law requires the owner to file their own claim, so you file with the State and the State pays you directly. We guide the paperwork step by step — and our fee is due only after you’ve been paid.
One fee, set by Texas law — and it’s only owed when you actually get your money.
10% of what you recover. That’s the cap, and that’s our fee.
Fair questions, straight answers.
It’s a fair question, and you should ask it. Three things you can check yourself: (1) search your name free at ClaimItTexas.gov and you’ll see the money listed under your name by the State (the State’s site calls it “unclaimed property”); (2) Texas law (Property Code §74.507) caps any finder’s fee at 10% and requires the expected amounts to be stated in a signed agreement before any fee can be charged — we follow that, in writing; (3) we will never ask for your Social Security number, bank login, or any upfront payment. Anyone who asks for those is not us, and you should not give it to them.
The Comptroller holds hundreds of millions of dollars for millions of owners, and the State’s records often have only an old address — the same reason the money went unclaimed in the first place. The State publishes the records and waits for owners to come forward; it doesn’t track people down. Finding owners is the part we’re set up to do.
Longer than anyone likes — that’s the honest answer, and it’s exactly why people hire us. A proper search is a lengthy process: it means checking every name you’ve ever used against every state you’ve lived in, and the companies that owe the money report it on their own schedules, so new money surfaces all the time. Then, once your claim is filed, the State itself takes about 60–90 days to review it and pay. The research legwork is the part we take off your plate — you give us your information once, right here on this website, and we do the digging.
We found the money in the State’s records, matched it to you, and verified the details. If you hire us, we confirm exactly what documentation the State needs for your claim, help you assemble it, and stay with you until the State pays. You sign and file your own claim — we guide; the claim and the money are always in your name and your hands.
Never. We do not need your Social Security number, your bank login, or your account passwords — not on this site, not by email, not anywhere. The State pays you directly, and we never handle your money. If anyone claiming to be us asks for those things, don’t engage — type texaslonestarrecovery.com into your browser yourself and message us through the form on this page to check.
Think the State might be holding something of yours — or got a letter from us and want to check it out? Either way, we’re glad to talk it through.
